" Best in Singapore and JB, some say Batam"
Very familiar words. To tell you the truth, I always though Batam is somewhere in Johor. I had no idea Batam is in INDONESIA. Yeap it's in INDONESIA and it's an island. It's an island where a lot of Singaporeans like to go for shopping. Like how Malaysians like to go Haadyai for shopping. You need to go Harbour Front to board a speed boat, journey about 45 minutes to reach the shores of Batam Island. Don't board the wrong boat, or you might end up in Sentosa Island ha ha ha...! That is in Singapore. We did pass by Sentosa Island on the way to Batam.
Batam is a very quiet town overly populated by shopping crazy people. This is to be expected when it's a shopping heaven. Things are very cheap. At least the aunties said very cheap. Collectively, I think they bought enough to open a mini market. Some come every month for grocery shopping. Imagine THAT!!
For me, the main attraction is the massage. It was pretty good, S$20.00 for 1.5 hours. Note, except for the underwear you gotta go naked. They have towel strategically placed over you to hide the parts. Kinda like doing surgery. They only display the part they are massaging. After massage they will sprinkle baby powder all over you to soak the lotion away. Very rejuvenating if I may say so. The food is so so only, but who cares when all you want to do is shopping :)

They also have A&W which is a very big thing for Singaporeans. Reason being there is no A&W in Lion City. They shot all the bears ..... hahahahaha...!
If you got lost, just go A&W, sure can find member there.
Cold joke? No appreciation for my jokes..*grumble*. Anyway, jokes aside, you can find the entire tour members in there. GOODNESS. Everyone keep telling me to try the A&W. Well I guess it's a big deal when your country doesn't have it. No big deal when it's literally everywhere in home country. Guess they forgot I am not from Singapore :)
Journey back met a hooker trying to hook business with an ex-pat right in front of our eyes. But we ruin it for her, cause she was smoking in the cabin right under the non-smoking sign. Cari pasal. Anyway after hooker drama, went to the back of the boat to enjoy the sea breeze and also the sunset on the way back.
Relaxing to watch the sunset and enjoy the sea breeze.
